Workshop Itinerary:
4 days in Ubud
- Arrival on October 12, transport to hotel/resort, welcoming ritual open yourself up to a re-birthing experience. Giuditta will guide you through a re-birthing meditation and welcome ritual.
- October 13th through 15th the journey begins learn about your own entrance into this world (your birth) get in touch with your unique gifts meant to heal not only your soul but the entire world. Using hypnosis, ecstatic dance, massage, guided meditation, advance doula and midwifery techniques (with Ibu Robin Lim) you will be ushered into the art of birthing…a new life…a new self…a new you.
- Plus meet with Ketut Liyer, the traditional Balinese healer and shaman featured in the book “Eat Pray Love” by Elizabeth Gibert
Followed by….
6 days at the drop dead gorgeous Mimpi Resort with natural spring water hot tubs, and delicious organic food.

This workshop includes:
- For both locations: shared standard accommodation (two to a room) or for an extra charge you can reserve a deluxe room with private pool and spa (please contact us if you would like to upgrade)

- Transportation from Ubud to Mimpi.
This workshop Does Not Include:
- Airfare from country of origin to Bali (we will let you know once you have reserved your space about the amazing discount fares that will come up occasionally during the year)
- Visa (entrance and exit required)
- Transportation to and from airport to Ubud. We cannot coordinate this due to the different arrival of guests from different countries. We can however help with organizing individual or group transportation
- Excursion to the Town of Ubud, snorkeling, massage or spa days (we do however offer a special pampering package for those who would like to enjoy the spa in Mimpi with our expertly trained Esalen® Massage therapists. Please ask for details.

Assistant duties include helping facilitators with set-up/breakdown and any other needs they have during the 10 days. You will need to be available at all times during the 10 days to help as needed. Assistants price is $1200 Paid in Full (no exceptions), there are no refunds for assistants. If you need to cancel you will need to find someone to fill your space and take over your payment.

This workshop is designed for everyone especially for those who want to birth a new self and understand their womanhood from a visceral and ancestral point of view. By loving ourselves and Mother Earth as well as our own mother and ancestors we can become a better instrument of God’s healing to this world. Of course this workshop is also perfect for Doulas, Midwives and midwives in training 10 CEUs from DONA are available for those seeking continuing education credits.
Your retreat leaders, Giuditta & Ellen, are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment using hypnosis, journal writing, massage, movement (i.e. belly dance and ecstatic dance designed to keeping the pelvis open,) and guided imagery. Each of us will have the opportunity to recall our lives while in the womb, and re-experience our own birth.
A space will be held for you to have a shift in consciousness from “Life is happening to me” to “I am the creator of my own life.” As you birth a new self, you will be given the tools needed to facilitate people of all ages resolve and redesign prenatal and birth trauma impressions. This workshop is designed for a wide range of professional backgrounds and skills including: body workers, nurses, medical doctors, midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, infant massage therapists, regular and special education teachers, counselors, and psychologists.
Facilitators
Robin Lim: 2011 CNN Hero is a mother, grandmother, author, poet, midwife and educator who lives in Bali with her husband and children. Ibu (mother) Robin is a Certified Lay Midwife, with the North American Registry of Midwives and Ikatan Bidan Indonesia. She is a founder and executive director for Yayasan Ibu Bumi Sehat Birth Center in Bali. Lim splits her time between the birth center and the Tsunami Relief Clinic in Samatiga Aceh, Sumatra. Along with receiving babies, Ibu Robin is an author. Many of her articles, stories and poems have been published in Midwifery Today magazine and The Birthkit newsletter. Ellen Watson: Ellen Watson is celebrating her 25th year on staff at Esalen Institute, where she studies, practices, and teaches various modalities of moving meditation practice. A licensed minister, Ellen believes that the core of all healing begins in the realm of the heart and the Spirit. Among her great pleasures are opening the door for people to dance, to sing and play and pray, to touch and be touched. She is passionate about spreading the good news about how waking up can heal and transform the mind, body and soul. Ellen is a teacher of Esalen® Massage, Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms™, Holotropic™ Breathwork, SpiritDance, The Art of Essential Touch, and Your Body is a Musical Instrument. From 1984 through 2003, Ellen developed and administered the Movement Arts Program at Esalen. In 1996, she founded MovingVentures™ School, a 501c3, whose mission is education in the somatic arts, focusing on women and men in developing countries, and the southern USA. Giuditta Tornetta: Giuditta is a birth doula, a lactation educator, a clinical hypnotherapist, and an NLP practitioner. She is the author of the bestselling book Painless Childbirth: An Empowering Journey Through Pregnancy and Birth. Giuditta practices clinical hypnotherapy and a method of natural childbirth that uses hypnotic techniques to reduce stress and fear during labor and delivery. Her love for women and the birthing and parenting experience has enabled her to help hundreds of women in her practice and thousands with her book and lectures, to obtain the birthing experience they deserve and desire. Rachel Love: Rachel is here on mother earth to serve by inspiring and empowering others to live passionately, authentically, to activate their full potential, and to bring people together in common-unity for the greatest good…and fun. She lives in Bali, the land of her father’s ancestors where she co-founded an artist’s community and Soma café, which serves organic high vibe foods that are truly food as medicine. She loves to share her passions of permaculture/sustainability, holistic healing & nutrition, preparing living foods, gardening, singing, dancing, poetry, conscious relationship and women’s circles with her community. Nearly six years ago, her son was born in the water with Robin Lim with a painless, completely natural full lotus birth. As a permaculturist, she considers herself a disciple of mother earth and is humbled by the intelligence of the plant realm. Her prayer is that all beings live in harmony connected to the earth.
Ingrid May is a German trained Physical Therapist. In 1980 I started studying alternative Healing modalities and Meditation in India. The journey continued and it brought me to Esalen which became my home for 15 years. There I deepened my Studies and Trainings with many renowned Bodywork, Movement, Shamanic Teachers and Therapists, and working as a Practitioner and Teacher of Esalen Massage. In 1996 I moved to Buenos Aires and opened my own School of Massage and Healing Arts, Oasis, which I direct to this day, but I continue to travel the world learning from gifted Beings and also teaching Esalen Massage Trainings in Argentina, Germany and Spain. My Passion is to listen into the heart of the matter, and giving it form in action. The last 20 years my spiritual guidance comes from Ramana Maharshi, The Dalai Lama and the Indigenous people of Latin America, and their simple ways of Being.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made by email to sales@movingventures.org 60 days prior departure.
Moving Ventures reserves the right to cancel any program at any time.
- If you cancel your reservation more than 60 full days before the start of your workshop: all money paid, less the non-refundable deposit of , will be refunded to the applicant by MVP
- If you cancel a workshop with less than 60 days notice: Applicants who, for whatever reasons (illness, professional obligations, etc.) find themselves unable to participate in the course and have not cancelled 60 days prior to the start of training, are responsible for paying the tuition in full.
- If You Have Applied for a Scholarship /Assistant Program: if you have applied for a scholarship and we have sold them out, we will, at your request, refund your fee in full if you cancel your reservation at least 30 full days prior to the start of the workshop, or apply it for the non-scholarship/assistant price ($1,800).
* Moving Ventures retains the sole right to revoke the participation in this training of any individual participant, at its discretion. MV also retains the right to cancel this training up to and until 30 days prior to the first day of the course, should there not be a minimum number of 10 participants who have paid their tuition in full. In such a case, all moneys received by MVP from applicants shall be promptly refunded.
Additional Information
Snoring: If you will be staying in one of our shared accommodations and you snore, please come prepared to do everything possible to minimize the discomfort this may cause a roommate—perhaps you should think about taking a private room if possible. If you are not a snorer, please come prepared (earplugs, etc.) for the possibility of sharing a room with a snorer.
Flashlights: Be sure to bring a flashlight for use at night while walking on the grounds, or to reach the town of Ubud. Grounds at hotel are well lit.
Health Services: Moving Ventures has no medical services or pharmaceutical supplies on site. If you will require medical attention or supplies during your stay, please come prepared to administer to your own needs.
Illegal Drugs: In accordance with local laws, the possession or use of illegal drugs in Bali is strictly prohibited.
Lost and Found:We have no lost and found once we leave Bali
Money: We will accept credit cards payment via pay pal or checks. Please send check payable to Moving Ventures c/o joy in Birthing – 4076 Tivoli Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90066. Please bring sufficient funds for incidentals there are plenty of ATMs in Bali to get cash directly from your bank account but there are exchange charges from your bank. Also you can change your money at the hotel and or at a local bank.
VISA To enter Bali you must purchase a visa, you can get one here in the States or you can purchase one upon arrival Visas are $25 US. There is also a leaving the country fee of $15 US.
Airport to Hotel: The van from the airport to the first hotel will cost approx $25 let us know and we can arrange this for you or you can take a local taxi. As there will be many people arriving at different times from different places we cannot arrange one van only. We will however be happy to help with this transportation
Personal Guests: If you like to bring a guest with you not participating in the workshop there will be an extra charge for room and board. Please inquire with an email.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in any accommodations, meeting rooms, or other indoor spaces.
Valuables: Moving Ventures is not responsible for your valuables. Some room have safes, some don’t, overall Bali is a very safe place but we do not take responsibility for anything lost or stolen.
